Светлана Савицкая является майором авиации, дважды Героем Советского Союза и заслуженным мастером спорта СССР.
On August 8, 1948 the Soviet woman astronaut Svetlana Savitskaya was born. This is the world's second female astronaut after Russian Valentina Tereshkova and the first-ever female astronaut who walked in an outer space. Svetlana Savitskaya is а squadron leader, twice the Hero of the Soviet Union and the Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR.
