Озеро Сандал расположено в республике Карелия (Россия). В настоящее время оно представляет собой энергетическое водохранилище Кондопожской ГЭС. На озере Сандал находится 79 островов. В двадцатом веке на озере было активное судоходство, однако пассажирское сообщение по озеру Сандал было закрыто в 1997 году. В озере много самой разнообразной рыбы: форели, лосося, окуня и других видов.
The lake Sandal is located in the Republic of Karelia (Russia). Now it represents a power reservoir of the Kondopoga hydroelectric power station. On the lake Sandal there are 79 islands. In the 20th century on the lake there was an active navigation, however passenger traffic on the lake Sandal was closed in 1997. In the lake there are a lot of various fish: trout, salmon, burbot, perch and other species.
