Чита́ - это российский город, расположенный в Восточной Сибири. Город назван Читой потому, что расположен на берегу реки Читы. Это административный центр Забайкальского края. Среди памятников дореволюционного периода: «церковь декабристов» конца XVIII века, многочисленные каменные и деревянные дома купцов-золотопромышленников начала XX века.
