ничего или нечего
Что я должен сделать сегодня: What do I need to do today:
"Ничего" or "Нечего":
1) Both words mean nothing.
2) "НичегО" has stress on "O" [nichivò]
"НЕчего" has stress on "E" [nèchiva]
3) When we use them:
ничегО + не(don't, doesn't, didn't etc.) + глагол в личной форме (personal verb form). It always negates the action.
Ex: ничего не говори - don't say anything
ничего не принесла - (she) didn't bring anything
нЕчего + инфинитив (verb infinitive). It says that there are no object for action.
нечего сказать - there is nothing to say
нечего съесть - there is nothing to eat
нечего делать - there is nothing to do
ничего
[nichivò]
