12 февраля в старые времена русские праздновали Васильев День. Накануне крестьяне ходили по домам с поздравлениями и пожеланиями благополучия. Утром каждый член семьи старался встать первым и принести воды из колодца, родника или реки и умыться. Считалось что если кому-то первому удастся это сделать то он целый год будет бодрым и подвижным.
