4 декабря 1998 года с мыса Канаверал был запущен американский космический челнок "Индевор". Эта космическая миссия получила название STS-88. Это первая строительная миссия, выполненная NASA по программе сборки Международной Космической Cтанции. Во время этого полета было выполнено 3 выхода в открытый космос.
On December 4, 1998 from Cape Canaveral was launched the American space shuttle "Indevor". This space mission was named STS-88. It was the first construction mission executed by NASA according to the program of assembly of the International Space Station. During this flight was performed 3 EVAs.
